Nourishing Body Scrub

Hi everyone!! Today I have a great DIY body scrub recipe for you. As summer approaches, I am sure you are looking to prepare your skin for shorts and sleeveless summer dresses. If you are looking to nourish your dry skin caused by winter, this body scrub is perfect for you.

Sugar scrubs are incredible at moisturizing and exfoliating the skin. This is a very simple recipe for a moisturizing sugar scrub for your body. It took me less than 10 minutes to make this.

Ingredients: Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, White Organic Sugar, Sandalwood Powder (Optional)

First of all, heat 1 tbsp of coconut oil and 1 tbsp of olive oil. You can also add any essential oils for fragrance. Both coconut oil and olive oil are very nourishing for the skin. Coconut oil is a natural anti-bacterial and helps in repairing the skin. It is an excellent moisturizer and adds shine to your skin. Olive oil is rich in Vitamin E and polyphenols, which provide anti-ageing benefits. It helps restore the smoothness of your skin.

Then add 2 tbsp. of sugar to this oil and mix it well. Make sure that there are no big crystals left. Sugar helps in exfoliating the skin. It removes excess oil and dead skin. It is hydrating for your skin.

You can use this scrub as it is. I also added ½ tbsp. of sandalwood powder to the scrub. It lent the scrub a delicate fragrance. Sandalwood soothes the skin and also has anti-bacterial properties.

Use this body scrub as needed in the shower and rinse it well. It will leave your skin moisturized, supple and feeling like silk.

Flaunt your flawless skin this summer. Enjoy this simple, yet highly beneficial scrub. Share your experiences in the comments below. Happy Creating!!
